I am Back
Hola everyone!
Apparently if you don't use Mindsay for a while they shut down your account. An explanation for all of my friends here...
Right now I am typing rather limply with an arm that is in a cast sitting in my wheelchair since I also have my right leg in a cast. On December 27th I fell off of an "edifice" rock by Neah Bay, Washington in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. I fell approximately twenty to thirty feet and as a result ended up with multiple compound fractures to my right arm and right leg, as well as a fractured facial and sinus bones. I got to spend an hour on the ground as the medics worked on me and lifted me out with a cage. They took me to Neah Bay hospital which is more like a clinic and after spending an hour there the Coast Guard came and picked me up in a helicopter and transported me to Harborview Hospital in Seattle. The first night there they repaired my leg and splinted it and after 5 days they fixed my right arm and splinted it. I stayed in Harborview for 7 days before they released me to go home. After two weeks I returned to the hospital and they x-rayed my right arm and placed it in a cast and since my right leg was taking it's time healing it waited another week before they put a cast on that.
What a way to start out the New Year! LOL! I will be going back to the hospital on Feb. 27th and hopefully thy will remove the hard casts and put me in a removable boot and aircast for my arm. Then I will start physical therapy. Hopefully I will be back to work the first week of April. So that's where I have been. I hope all of you had great holidays and that your New Year has started off better than mine!
